Privacy Policy
This policy explains what RigInk collects, why, and what control you have. It covers senders (companies with an account) and signers (people who receive a document).
What we collect
- Account details: company name, your name, work email, and a password (stored only as a salted hash).
- Documents: the PDFs and templates you upload, the details you fill in, and the finished signed copies.
- Signer details: name and email entered by the sender, field values the signer types, their signature and initials images, and whether they verified an email code.
- Audit evidence: for each step (link opened, consent given, signed, declined), the time, IP address and browser type. This is what makes a signature provable later.
Why we use it
Only to run the service: deliver documents, check identity, record the audit trail, seal and deliver the finished PDF, and keep it for the retention period. We do not sell personal information and do not use documents for advertising.
Who sees it
The sender's team sees their own documents and audit trails. Every party to a document receives the finished copy. We use service providers to host the application and database and to send email; they process data only for us. We disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Signed documents and their audit trails are kept for the retention period set by the sender (3 years or more). Records may be needed as legal evidence, so they cannot be edited, and they are deleted after the retention period ends.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Signing links are personal and can be protected with an email code. Completed PDFs are digitally sealed and their fingerprints recorded, and the audit trail is hash-chained so changes are detectable. Data is stored in the United States.
Your choices
Signers can ask the sender for a paper copy or to correct their contact details. Account owners can ask us to close their account. For anything else, email oconnorbob11@gmail.com.
